This program enables you to obtain a Certificate of Proficiency, an accreditation that acknowledges specialized study in core principles of creativity, improvisation, mind-body coordination, along with jazz-focused theory, historical context, and musical performance development.
The two-year Jazz Certificate is provided by the University of Saskatchewan's College of Arts and Science. You can pursue the certificate independently, alongside a degree program, or after completing a degree from this or another university.
Your studies will cover jazz history and theory while developing your artistic expression through hands-on practice and performance of jazz music in its diverse forms.
