Geological engineers bridge the gap between natural systems and engineering solutions. They utilize engineering concepts to work with earth materials like rocks, soils, groundwater, and energy resources.
USask has transformed its first-year engineering program to enhance student success and enjoyment. Our innovative RE-ENGINEERED approach is unique in Canada, designed to spark enthusiasm for engineering studies.
The RE-ENGINEERED program replaces stressful exams with continuous assessments, allowing for grade improvement throughout the term. Scheduled daily support sessions provide timely assistance, while practical courses replace traditional finals with hands-on exploration of engineering fields.
Students select their engineering specialization (major/discipline) after completing first year, which becomes their focus for advanced coursework in subsequent years.
