Located in Sudbury, a global hub for nickel mining, our three-year program stands as Ontario's sole nationally-accredited offering in this field, led by faculty with real-world industry expertise. Students build a robust foundation and practical skills to join underground or surface mining engineering teams across the globe, contributing to diverse projects from land surveys and geological studies to safety oversight and operational leadership.

The curriculum's third year features specialized training in critical industry areas like project timelines, cost estimation, mine airflow systems, and operational management. The program culminates with a paid 14-week cooperative work placement. With accreditation from Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC), graduates earn professional recognition from the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT).
