Engineering physics serves as a connection between theoretical science and practical applications, employing core principles in our fast-evolving, technology-driven engineering landscape. Engineering physicists are driven by harnessing scientific knowledge to push technological progress and promote sustainability.
At USask, we've transformed the first-year engineering curriculum to enhance student success and inject more enjoyment into the learning process. Our innovative approach, called RE-ENGINEERED, stands unique in Canada. This program is designed to spark enthusiasm and creativity about engineering.
The RE-ENGINEERED program replaces stressful final exams with increased assignments and quizzes, allowing for grade improvement after early challenges. Scheduled daily tutorials ensure timely academic support. Rather than traditional exams, students engage in practical courses that explore various engineering fields through hands-on experience.
Students select their engineering specialization—referred to as their major or discipline—after completing their first year. This chosen field becomes the focus of their advanced studies in subsequent years.
