Civil engineers shape our built environment - constructing highways and structures, overpasses and underground passages, aviation hubs and metro networks, water treatment and waste management facilities. They may focus on soil analysis, architectural and structural evaluation, land measurement, or urban development strategies.
At USask, we've transformed first-year engineering to enhance student success and inject more enjoyment into the learning process. Our innovative approach, called RE-ENGINEERED, stands unique in Canada. This program will ignite your passion for engineering.
The RE-ENGINEERED curriculum replaces stressful final exams with frequent assignments and assessments, allowing for grade improvement throughout the term. Scheduled daily support sessions ensure immediate help when challenges arise. Rather than traditional exams, students engage in practical courses exploring various engineering fields.
Students select their engineering specialization - referred to as their major or discipline - after completing first year. This chosen field becomes the focus of advanced study in subsequent years.
