Assiniboine's two-year Civil Technology - Municipal Engineering diploma program equips graduates with advanced design and technical skills for various civil engineering disciplines, including structural, municipal, highway and transportation engineering, as well as water and drainage systems. Working within multidisciplinary teams, graduates coordinate with diverse project stakeholders to achieve engineering objectives while adhering to safety protocols, sustainability principles, legal requirements, industry standards, and ethical guidelines. These engineering technologists offer technical assistance to professionals across multiple specialties or operate independently in areas like structural design, municipal infrastructure, construction oversight, transportation systems, water resource management, geotechnics, and environmental conservation.
Program Learning Outcomes
Gather, evaluate, and organize technical information to create comprehensive project documentation and visual representations.
Implement specialized digital tools and technologies to facilitate civil engineering initiatives.
Contribute to project design and modeling phases by applying engineering theories, mathematical computations, and scientific principles to develop or refine project blueprints.
Assist in planning, budgeting, and tracking civil engineering projects through construction management methodologies.
