The Department of Anthropology provides diverse research opportunities in socio-cultural anthropology and linguistic anthropology. Our faculty's research spans worldwide as we explore cultural diversity and transformation. Key focus areas encompass symbolic and interpretive approaches, concepts of identity and ethics, spiritual practices and ceremonies, artistic expressions and artifacts, national identity studies, along with ethnographic research in Latin America, the Himalayan region, Polynesia, and post-communist European societies.
Applicants must have a graduating average of at least 70 per cent from a four-year baccalaureate degree (or equivalent).
