The UPEI Integrated Dietetic Internship is an accredited, highly selective program designed to equip Foods and Nutrition graduates for careers as registered dietitians. As regulated healthcare experts, dietitians specialize in food and nutritional science, transforming complex nutrition knowledge into actionable guidance for healthier eating. Our Foods and Nutrition degree offers students thorough training in critical nutrition disciplines such as clinical nutrition care, public health nutrition, institutional food management, food technology and innovation, and food system dynamics. Hands-on learning experiences are central to our Foods and Nutrition curriculum, delivered through laboratory sessions, small-group tutorials, and community engagement initiatives.
