Founded in 1984, the Ottawa-Carleton Institute of Biology (OCIB) brings together the research capabilities of both the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. This collaborative institution provides graduate studies culminating in MSc and PhD degrees in Biology.
Research resources are jointly utilized across both campuses. Enrolled students can benefit from faculty expertise, academic courses, and infrastructure at either institution.
OCIB participates in interdisciplinary programs including Bioinformatics (master's level), Chemical and Environmental Toxicology (master's and PhD levels), as well as Science, Society and Policy (master's level).
Have a bachelor’s degree in with a specialization, or a major in Biology (or equivalent) with a minimum average of 70% (B).
