The Biology Department at Queen's University stands as one of the campus's most extensive academic units, supporting around 100 graduate students guided by 32 faculty members. Nearby, our expansive field station—spanning over 3200 hectares of forests, fields, and lakes—offers exceptional research infrastructure and accommodations. Students gain hands-on experience in state-of-the-art labs, including the Paleoecological Environmental Assessment and Research Lab (PEARL) and the Queen’s University Biology Station (QUBS). Approximately one-third of our students conduct fieldwork or research at institutions across Canada or internationally.
