The School of Information Studies, part of the Faculty of Arts, provides graduate programs including a diploma in Information Management and a Master of Information Studies (MIS).
Students pursuing the Master of Information Studies can choose full-time or part-time study, completing six mandatory core courses in their initial year along with a capstone course during their final semester.
The MIS program features three pathways to fulfill degree requirements: course-based, thesis, or co-op. Note that the co-op option is exclusively for full-time students, with limited annual placements available. Regardless of the chosen path, at least 25% of coursework must be completed in a second language.
MIS graduates qualify for diverse professional roles such as vocabulary specialists, digital archivists, information designers, knowledge management consultants, library administrators, metadata coordinators, privacy officers, records supervisors, and web content strategists, among others.
