The Faculty of Engineering provides a dynamic research atmosphere where mechanical, civil, chemical, electrical, computer, and software engineering disciplines intersect with computer science in a distinctive collaborative environment.
Founded in 1983, the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (OCIMAE) merges the research capabilities of the University of Ottawa's Mechanical Engineering Department with Carleton University's Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department.
Research projects may be carried out in English, French, or both languages, based on the preferences of the supervising professor and their research team members.
Research resources are jointly utilized across both campuses, allowing students to benefit from faculty expertise, academic courses, and facilities at both institutions.
Hold a bachelor’s degree with a specialization, or a major in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum average of 70% (B).
