The MASc degree is a research-focused program offering in-depth expertise and hands-on experience in a selected specialization, while cultivating research capabilities in this field. Students must complete at least four term-length courses (or equivalent) and successfully defend a thesis, typically spanning two years.
For all graduate programs, enrolled students must remain registered every term and pay tuition fees until degree completion, regardless of whether they're taking courses in a given term.
Student must have an honours Bachelors degree in Applied Science or Engineering with a B (73-76.9% or GPA 3.0).
English language requirements
Applicants must have TOEFL Internet-based Test (TOEFL iBT): The minimum overall score is 88, made up of the minimum scores in each component test as follows: Writing test: 24/30; Speaking test: 22/30; Reading test: 22/30; Listening test: 20/30; MELAB: 80 (minimum overall score); IELTS: 7 (minimum score, academic module); PTE Academic: 65 (minimum overall score).
