The Faculty of Engineering provides a dynamic research atmosphere where mechanical, civil, chemical, electrical, computer, and software engineering disciplines intersect with computer science in a distinctive collaborative environment.
Founded in 1983, the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (OCIMAE) merges the research capabilities of the University of Ottawa's Mechanical Engineering Department with Carleton University's Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department. Research resources are jointly utilized across both campuses, granting students opportunities to engage with faculty, courses, and facilities at both institutions.
At uOttawa's engineering program, you'll be taught by top-tier researchers utilizing state-of-the-art facilities, including our cutting-edge STEM Complex.

Hold a bachelor’s degree with a specialization, or a major in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum average of 70% (B).
