Biomedical Science is a multidisciplinary field that explores the core principles of human and animal anatomy and physiology. The initial phase of study covers essential topics in anatomy, psychology, and foundational sciences including biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and mathematics. Following this foundation, students can specialize by pairing advanced biology and biochemistry courses with electives to earn a minor in arts or social sciences, or pursue concentrations in life science areas like neuroscience, cellular/molecular medicine, bioanalytical science, biostatistics, or medicinal chemistry. From the third year onward, the Research Focus option provides hands-on research opportunities for those interested in scientific careers. Graduates leave equipped for further research education or entry into healthcare professional programs.
