Biomedical Science is a multidisciplinary field that explores the essential principles of human and animal anatomy and physiology. The initial two years establish a foundation in anatomy and psychology, along with comprehensive studies in core scientific disciplines including biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and mathematics. Following this, students can opt to blend advanced biology and biochemistry coursework with various electives to pursue a minor in arts or social sciences, or specialize in life science areas like neuroscience, cellular/molecular medicine, bioanalytical science, biostatistics, or medicinal chemistry. Starting in the third year, the Research Focus option provides hands-on research opportunities for those interested in scientific careers. Graduates emerge ready for advanced research training or entry into professional healthcare programs.
