The Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences program takes a comprehensive approach to health education. Learners gain a strong foundation in biosciences, master both quantitative and qualitative research methods, and explore health determinants through interdisciplinary lenses. This distinctive curriculum empowers students to develop creative solutions for analyzing, assessing, and addressing intricate health challenges across all age groups, both in Canada and internationally.
The Population and Public Health specialization builds upon students' interdisciplinary training by focusing on population health principles and public health methodologies that form the backbone of Canada's healthcare infrastructure. Participants will analyze health situations from local and international viewpoints, evaluate health models, design health initiatives including wellness promotion plans, identify root causes of health inequalities, and assess the impact of cross-sector partnerships in healthcare.

Upon completion, graduates will be equipped to enter health-focused Master's programs or launch careers in government health departments, private healthcare institutions, nonprofit health organizations, or community wellness initiatives. The program establishes a solid groundwork for advanced education in medical, rehabilitation, dental, or pharmaceutical fields. Our interdisciplinary emphasis cultivates more skilled and well-rounded future healthcare practitioners.
