Over recent years, companies have grown to recognize the strategic value of implementing structured human resource management (HRM) practices. This program offers comprehensive training in three key HRM areas that organizations prioritize: personnel administration, labor relations, and workplace behavior. Combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on application, the curriculum prepares students for HR roles across corporate, government, and nonprofit environments.
Program alumni gain a competitive edge in the HR job market, with most courses accredited by Ontario's Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPAO). Successful graduates not only obtain a specialized BCom in HRM but also meet the educational criteria for the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) certification.
This innovative combined bachelor's-master's pathway lets high-achieving students complete both degrees in five years. Tailored for academically strong individuals passionate about business research, the program allows selected undergraduates to begin graduate coursework during their final bachelor's year and launch research projects during the transitional summer term. The integrated curriculum strengthens students' business expertise and research capabilities within specialized fields, equipping them to influence policy decisions and improve professional practices nationwide.
