The Master of Applied Science in Engineering is a thesis-focused, research-oriented graduate program. This degree is ideal for students aiming to engage in engineering research across various fields, including civil, environmental, structural, and building sciences, among others. MASc candidates undertake independent research projects that result in a thesis, equipping them for roles in applied research, engineering practice, or advanced academic pursuits.
Typically completed in two years of full-time study, the MASc program's duration can be modified by the supervisory committee to accommodate individual research requirements and academic progress.
The Engineering Graduate Seminar is available in both the September and January academic terms.
In addition to the admission application requirements outlined in Section 1.0 of the Graduate Academic Calendar, applicants are required to hold a four-year Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) from a recognized institution in engineering or related area.
