Biology explores the science of life, offering essential insights into our natural world. This multifaceted and captivating discipline plays a crucial role in everyday life. Build both foundational and specialized expertise to thrive in biology-focused professions. The program serves as excellent preparation for professional studies in medicine, dentistry, optometry, or veterinary medicine.
Our Biology BSc. program provides diverse specialization options including Field Biology and Natural History, Applied Ecology, Ecology and Evolution, Zoology, Botany and Mycology, or Cell Biology and Genetics. Additionally, we provide two minor options for students studying other disciplines who wish to incorporate biological studies.
The Bachelor of Science in Biology is a comprehensive undergraduate program enabling students to investigate biological principles across cellular, organismal, and ecological levels. Students enjoy significant flexibility to pursue interests spanning microbiology, botany, zoology, ecology, and more.
Develop hands-on experience through our campus laboratories and participate in field schools locally and abroad. Our research-active faculty regularly involve students in groundbreaking research projects. Practical learning opportunities extend to field schools at the Aleza Lake Research Forest, John Prince Research Forest, and Quesnel River Research Centre.
Entry requirements may vary from country to country, Students who complete their studies at an appropriate high school and/or recognized post-secondary institution will be considered for admission.
English language requirement:
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 90 or higher in the internet-based test, with not less than 20 in each of the Reading, Listening, Writing or Speaking components; score of at least 230 in the computer-based test or at least 570 in the paper-based test.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic score of at least 6.5 overall, with not less than 6.0 in any of the four modules;
Duolingo English Test score of 105 or higher;
MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery) score of at least 80, with a minimum of 3 on the Speaking Rating Scale;
CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language) or the CAEL CE (Computer Edition) Assessment score of at least 70, with no subtest below 60;
A grade of B or better on Cambridge English Qualification C1 Advanced;
PTE (Pearson Test of English - Academic): overall score of 65, with not less than 60 in each of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
