Our alumni typically pursue careers in mineral exploration, petroleum industries, geosciences, geophysics, environmental consulting, government natural resource research, and academia. The department usually supports 30-40 students who collaborate with research-focused faculty members maintaining strong connections with provincial (NB-DNR) and federal (GSC) geological survey organizations.
A distinctive aspect of our program is providing hands-on field research opportunities across Canada.
