Established in 1854, UNB's Civil Engineering department boasts a distinguished legacy. Our graduate program has equipped countless students with the vital engineering expertise needed to design, develop, and oversee critical infrastructure for contemporary communities.
Whether it's transportation networks, structural projects, water purification facilities, or sustainable construction, UNB prepares graduates for rewarding careers with engineering firms, non-governmental organizations, government bodies at all levels, and international research institutions.
Typically hosting 40-60 graduate researchers across all civil engineering specialties, our program accommodates part-time study for MEng candidates.
Program length (full-time): 1-2 years (MEng); 2 years (MScE); 3-4 years (PhD).
Start dates: Fall/Winter for MEng; Fall/Winter/Summer for MScE and PhD.
