The Master of Engineering (MEng) in chemical engineering is a 12-24 month hands-on program designed for professionals pursuing industrial careers. This program particularly appeals to working professionals in industry and government sectors seeking part-time study options.
This coursework-focused degree mandates completion of a 30-credit curriculum spanning three essential domains for industrial chemical engineers:
engineering & environmental sciences
business administration
chemical engineering principles
The MEng serves as a stepping stone rather than a final degree. Graduates may apply for competitive admission to the PhD program upon successful completion.
International applicants must have an undergraduate degree with GPA Canadian equivalent to 90% or higher.
International Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to submit language scores. Minimum TOEFL score of 580, and a TWE score of 5.0 (computer based scores would be 237 and 5.0 or greater and Internet score of 93, writing and speaking minimum 22). IELTS (minimum score of band 7); MELAB (minimum score of 85); or CanTest (minimum score of band 4.5). International applicants should have a Canadian GPA equivalent of 90% or higher.
