Qualification Requirements

Students are encouraged to contact faculty prior to applying to secure research supervision
MSc applicants should hold an honours bachelors degree in chemistry or biochemistry with first or upper second division standing minimum GPA 3.0-4.3 70 percent or B
PhD applicants should hold a Masters degree in chemistry or a related discipline from a recognized university Outstanding MSc applicants may be offered admission directly to the PhD program or have the opportunity to transfer from the MSc to the PhD program without first completing the MSc
Applicants are required to submit a complete application to the School of Graduate Studies including three references and a onepage statement describing their research interests and experience
International Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the English proficiency requirements of the School of Graduate Studies This is normally done by submitting language test scores Minimum paper-based TOEFL score of 550 with a TWE score of 40 internet based TOEFL minimum 94 IELTS band 7.0
