Chemical biology applies small molecules to influence biological systems. This interdisciplinary field combines synthetic and analytical chemistry with structural and molecular biology. The Chemical Biology program aims to equip students with expertise spanning chemistry, biochemistry, and biology, focusing on using chemical approaches to address intricate biological challenges. These include disease mechanisms, biological pathway regulation, and biomolecular roles in cellular processes (both normal and dysfunctional). Research spans multiple domains, with particular emphasis on infection studies, imaging techniques, and molecular interfaces.

Program graduates must complete coursework and a research thesis. Students are encouraged to advance the field by publishing and presenting their findings.
