Founded in 1981, the Ottawa-Carleton Chemistry Institute (OCCI) brings together the research capabilities of both the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. This collaborative institution provides graduate studies culminating in MSc and PhD degrees in Chemistry.
Research resources are jointly utilized across both campuses. While students can benefit from faculty, coursework, and amenities at either institution, they must register at their thesis advisor's primary university.
OCCI participates in interdisciplinary programs including the master's-level science, society and policy initiative, as well as chemical and environmental toxicology studies at both master's and doctoral levels.
