Anthropologists investigate humanity: our identities, behaviors, communication, physical characteristics, and belief systems. At UNB, Anthropology takes a comprehensive approach, allowing students to analyze humans throughout time as biological, cultural, and social entities. The program covers three key areas – sociocultural anthropology, archaeology, and biological anthropology – with access to enhanced laboratory resources featuring extensive collections of human, hominid, and primate specimens. Students can pursue Anthropology as a major, minor, or honors within the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.
The program employs diverse instructional approaches and cutting-edge teaching techniques, integrating current research discoveries. With intimate class settings, students enjoy enhanced engagement with professors and classmates.
