The Arts and Science Faculties at UNB Fredericton collaborate to offer a four-year combined degree program that integrates both disciplines.

This Joint Program enables students to:

explore coursework across both Faculties before selecting a specialization;
achieve comprehensive exposure to fields beyond their chosen focus; and
qualify for advanced degree programs that value diverse course selections, including General Science and preprofessional tracks for dentistry, medicine, veterinary medicine, optometry, and physiotherapy.

Admission to the Joint Arts and Science program requires meeting the BAS entry criteria specified in the Admission Requirements Table within the Admission Regulations.

To graduate with a BAS degree, students must fulfill the requirements for both a Supplementary Major in an Arts discipline and a Science specialization. The Supplementary Major follows the same guidelines as one component of a Double Major program.
