The need for pathologists and pathologist assistants is rising throughout North America as tissue diagnosis and specialized knowledge become more prevalent. The Pathology (MSc) program provides two options for Honours Science graduates with robust biology backgrounds: a thesis-focused research track or a practical path leading to certification as a pathologist assistant, preparing students for anatomical pathology responsibilities
The Pathology Department educates both graduate and postgraduate health science students in pathology. Our faculty conducts research spanning pathology and related medical fields while delivering diagnostic services in anatomic pathology and hematology at Winnipeg's Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface Hospital.
