Our specialized civil engineering training equips graduates to enhance societal and economic progress through eco-conscious design solutions. From the highways we travel to the clean water we consume, from the structures we inhabit to the natural waterways we cherish, civil engineers play a vital role in shaping our daily experiences.
The Civil Engineering Department provides academic and research programs culminating in Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees. These graduate programs aim to extend students' knowledge beyond undergraduate studies, developing expertise in key civil engineering disciplines including environmental systems, geotechnical applications, structural design, transportation networks, construction oversight, and water resource management. The Master's curriculum emphasizes rigorous coursework, with the M.Sc. program additionally requiring a research thesis that showcases independent study skills and comprehensive understanding of a civil engineering specialization. The M.Sc. combines academic study with thesis work, typically completed within a two-year timeframe.
