The Biological Sciences department delivers outstanding learning and mentorship experiences for every student. The Biological Sciences (MSc) program covers diverse biological fields through both field studies and lab research.
Our department provides graduate programs leading to M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. Prospective graduate students should reach out to potential supervisors within our research specialties. The following are minimum requirements to be considered for entry into the program.
Admission decisions are based on the qualifications of the applicant as well as the ability of the Department of Biological Sciences and the University of Manitoba to serve the applicant's intended program of study and area of specialization.
To be considered for admission to the Biological Sciences (MSc) program, you must have a minimum of a four-year undergraduate degree in biology (or equivalent).
