Our curriculum covers diverse biological disciplines, spanning (1) cellular and molecular biology, genomics, and synthetic biology, alongside (2) ecological studies, evolutionary processes, and conservation efforts. Through close collaboration with faculty advisors, students enhance their grasp of contemporary research techniques while building subject expertise and critical analysis capabilities. The program fosters comprehensive engagement with cutting-edge scientific publications and equips participants with the methodological training, theoretical foundation, and technical competencies essential for impactful scientific careers. Montreal's prominence as a hub for practical research offers students access to a vibrant academic network comprising four leading universities and their research facilities, government research organizations, and an active corporate sector that regularly collaborates with academic investigators.
The admission requirement is a BSc degree or equivalent with specialization in biology with good standing (B average) from a recognized university. Exceptionally, applicants not meeting the GPA requirement may be admitted on the basis of outstanding academic letters of reference, good performance and high standing in advanced courses or exceptional research experience.
