Developmental psychology explores how humans evolve and transform throughout their lives, serving as an interdisciplinary field that connects various domains including cognitive science, language studies, social behavior, brain research, and wellness psychology. Our faculty investigate a broad spectrum of subjects involving both atypical and typical developmental paths, such as speech and interaction growth, contextual influences on maturation, and cultural variations in childhood development.
Our research utilizes multiple approaches, from laboratory assessments of infant perception to observational studies of children's play behaviors, physiological monitoring of brain and heart activity in families, biological markers of stress and immunity, questionnaire data, and evaluations of recorded daily interactions in early childhood. Alumni pursue diverse professional paths in education, corporate sectors, public institutions, and academia. Prospective graduate applicants are encouraged to contact faculty members directly to inquire about potential openings in upcoming enrollment periods.
