Researchers utilize specialized equipment like advanced microscopes, high-precision mass spectrometers, cryogenic systems, and computational resources, while also collaborating with international facilities such as TRIUMF, Argonne National Laboratory, and space observatories. Local medical physics investigations occur at university and city hospital laboratories, with computational studies performed using the university's High Performance Computing Facility. The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for entry into the Physics and Astronomy (PhD) program.

To be considered for admission into the Physics and Astronomy (PhD) program, you must have:

A master's degree or equivalent from a recognized university with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in the last two years of full-time university study

English language proficiency

IAEP (Intensive Academic English Program) - Pass Level 5/AEPUCE (Academic English Program for University and College Entrance) with a minimum of 65% overall

IELTS (Academic module) (International English Language Testing System) - 6.5 overall

Internet-based TOEFL - Overall score of 86 (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking - 20)

Pearson Test of English Academic - 61 overall

Cambridge Assessment of English at the C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency level - Minimum score of 180
