The department provides Master's and doctoral programs encompassing diverse mathematical disciplines. Graduates pursue careers in both industry and academia. Faculty and researchers specialize in algebra, analysis, computational mechanics, computer graphics, differential equations, discrete mathematics, finite-element methods, mathematical foundations, geometry, matrix computations, numerical analysis, and topology. Detailed profiles of faculty members and their graduate students are available on the department website. Alongside graduate courses, the department hosts various seminars where faculty, students, and international visitors collaborate. These include regular seminars on discrete mathematics, functional analysis, rings and modules, mathematical biology, topology, universal algebra, and lattice theory. A weekly graduate student seminar allows students to present on subjects of their interest. The Ph.D. program combines coursework with significant research requirements.
Typical Completion Time - 4 years.
