The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program aims to train professionals for research careers, with many alumni pursuing academic positions as university researchers and professors. This rigorous curriculum offers comprehensive theoretical knowledge across various disciplines. Students are encouraged to engage in academic discourse through scholarly publications, conference attendance, and presentations. While the Faculty of Education's Doctoral Sub-Committee oversees the Ph.D. in Education coursework, all graduate students fall under the jurisdiction of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. The Doctoral Sub-Committee fulfills departmental leadership roles typically handled by department heads in other graduate programs. The Ph.D. track includes both coursework and a significant research project.
