The Environmental Science program offers an interdisciplinary approach for students seeking to create scientific solutions for environmental challenges.
This interdisciplinary program equips students with the knowledge and tools to analyze and address environmental issues through scientific methods. Participants will build robust quantitative abilities while gaining expertise in ecological, biological, agricultural, and chemical sciences tailored to their primary focus areas.
These degree programs hold accreditation from the Canadian Environmental Accreditation Commission and aim to fulfill workforce needs in the environmental sector. Graduates qualify for ECO Canada's Environmental Practitioner (EP) certification upon completing the program.

Qualification Requirements

The following are minimum requirements for entry into the Bachelor of Environmental Science program. Meeting these requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

Direct entry applicants are those who have not attended a post-secondary institution or have completed fewer than 24 credit hours at a recognized university or college.

Advanced entry applicants are those who have completed one year (24 credit hours) or more of studies in another faculty at the University of Manitoba or another recognized post-secondary institution.

IAEP (Intensive Academic English Program): Minimum score required: Pass Level 5/AEPUCE (Academic English Program for University and College Entrance)

IELTS (Academic - computer or paper) or IELTS Indicator: Minimum score required: 6.5 overall; Minimum score of 6.0 in each of the four modules (listening, reading, speaking, writing); and IELTS One Skill Retake results are accepted by the Undergraduate Admissions Office, University of Manitoba

CAEL (Canadian Academic English Assessment) - Online or Test Centre: Minimum score required: 60
