Planning and Development are fundamental processes that influence nearly all human endeavors. Professionals in this field operate across diverse settings, including government agencies, private companies, and nonprofit organizations. Our curriculum focuses on creating sustainable strategies for rural, Indigenous, and isolated communities both within Canada and globally. Alumni consistently achieve strong employment outcomes in their chosen careers. This MSc program offers three completion pathways: thesis, major paper, or coursework. The accelerated (6-semester) program holds accreditation from the Canadian Institute of Planners.
Students must have a four-year Honours degree (or equivalent) with an average of at least second class honours (B-) in the last four semesters (or two years) of study.
