The Department of Pathobiology conducts studies across various domains, including animal pathogens and their host interactions, emerging and zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, immunological and genetic factors in disease resistance, cancer mechanisms, and inflammatory conditions. Our research spans species from livestock and lab animals to aquatic life, wildlife, and pets, examining everything from molecular processes to population-level impacts. We provide research-focused MSc (2-year) and PhD (4-year) programs for both veterinary and non-veterinary students in all departmental disciplines. Additionally, veterinary specialization is available through our 3-year DVSc program and Graduate
Applicants should have at least a ‘B’ average in a relevant undergraduate degree.
Prior to applying, students should identify an advisor who will provide funding for a minimum of 2 years.
