The Master of Science in Computer Science program focuses on blending theoretical and practical research to make significant contributions to academic advancement, industry collaborations, and government initiatives. Students can select from various specialized research fields, with interdisciplinary engagement being actively promoted, as numerous faculty members collaborate with industry professionals and other university departments at the University of Guelph.
This full-time, thesis-driven MSc program spans 24 months (with continuous enrollment across up to 6 semesters). Participants are required to complete five courses, deliver a public presentation, undertake research, and successfully defend their thesis.
Applicants require a four-year honours degree in computer science, or in another discipline with minor in computer science. A minimum average of 75% during the last four semesters of full-time study is required.
