The Master of Information (MI) program spans 20 months for full-time enrollment. To graduate, students must complete 15 half-credit courses (totaling 45 credit hours) along with a non-credit Practicum component.
Full-time enrollment requires taking at least 3 half-credit courses per term. Most full-time MI students enroll in 4 half-credit courses during both fall and winter terms.
While the MI Program primarily begins in fall, applicants transferring from other Library & Information Studies programs or with significant professional experience may request January admission. Additional admission information is available through the MI Admissions office.
