Our graduate programs equip students with specialized expertise in study methodology, data gathering and interpretation, analytical thinking, and effective communication across epidemiology, health administration, public health, and theriogenology. These programs tackle contemporary animal and human health challenges through a One Health perspective. Doctoral degrees are available alongside two Master of Science pathways: students can opt for either a major research project (MRP) spanning about three semesters or a more intensive thesis-based program lasting approximately six semesters. PhD candidates must pass a qualifying examination and successfully defend an original research thesis.
Admission to the PhD program is usually granted to holders of an MSc degree who have demonstrated superior performance and aptitude for research. Infrequently, well qualified DVM or honours degree holders may be accepted directly into the PhD program.
