Renowned worldwide, the College of Biological Science is dedicated to advancing knowledge about living systems, spanning from molecular genetics to entire ecological networks. This academic division fosters bold, cross-disciplinary research within an educational setting that prioritizes students and cultivates deep comprehension of life's fundamental processes.
The PHD.MCB curriculum encompasses five specialized tracks: 1) biochemistry; 2) cellular biology; 3) microbiological sciences; 4) molecular biology and genetics; and 5) botanical studies. Students may also pursue joint concentrations in Neuroscience or Toxicology. This program aims to cultivate autonomous, innovative researchers with expertise in molecular and cellular biology. Alumni will be equipped for scholarly roles in academia, leadership positions in biomedical R&D across various industries or government bodies, and influential roles within social organizations.
Applicants require a Master’s degree in a field within the molecular life sciences. Students with advanced academic and research aptitudes can apply for direct entry to the PhD program. Transfer into the PhD program after partial completion of the MSc degree requirements is also possible.
