The PhD program equips students for careers in engineering education, research, or professional consulting. It enables specialized research across multiple disciplines including Mechanical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Computer Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Systems and Computing, and Water Resources Engineering. Students can pursue this program either full-time or part-time. The curriculum delivers in-depth training in engineering principles and research techniques, incorporating coursework, independent study, qualifying exams, plus the development and defense of an original research dissertation.
