Human Kinetics focuses on studying human movement capabilities and limitations across various life stages, along with the impact of physical activity on health. Students can customize their studies through electives, specializing in areas like biomechanics and ergonomics, human population biology, or nutrition and metabolism.
Develop skills to critically evaluate research methodologies, data interpretation, and analytical approaches in movement science and exercise research – spanning laboratory studies to educational settings. Investigate the biological foundations of human motion, physical function, and athletic performance in contexts of wellness, aging, and illness. The curriculum covers nutrition, physiology, biomechanics, anatomy, and genetic influences throughout the program. Students can pursue advanced research projects under faculty guidance in fields aligned with their professional aspirations.
