UFV's Graphic and Digital Design diploma (GDD) equips you with essential skills for today's interdisciplinary creative field, covering four key professional areas: brand identity, visual communication design, motion media, and user experience design. Through hands-on studio projects in collaborative Mac workspaces, you'll develop core competencies in design methodology, creative problem-solving, and idea generation, along with expertise in analytical thinking, typographic principles, visual storytelling, digital content production, and Adobe Creative Suite applications. This intensive 60-credit cohort program at the Abbotsford campus requires full-time enrollment, with students progressing through the two-year curriculum together. The structured program demands registration for five courses per semester, with each design course offered annually per campus location. Instruction comes from active design professionals who maintain industry connections and academic research involvement.
Applicants must have a B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent, or minimum 19 years of age before the first day of classes.
