Mastering a second language helps you distinguish yourself in today's interconnected world by facilitating cross-cultural communication. The Modern Languages Institute at UFV offers eight language options: French, German, Halq'méylem, Japanese, Mandarin, Punjabi, Russian, or Spanish. Develop practical communication abilities through small classes led by native-speaking instructors. Enhance your learning by opting for international study or work opportunities. You can pursue either an Intermediate Proficiency Associate certificate or an Advanced Proficiency certificate. Previous language coursework may exempt you from first-year program requirements at UFV.
