The Bachelor of Science in Physics program enables students to investigate matter, energy, and their interactions through both theoretical and experimental approaches. Early coursework covers foundational subjects including electromagnetism, wave phenomena, thermodynamics, and relativity. Advanced classes later provide opportunities to examine complex areas such as quantum mechanics and fluid dynamics, utilizing mathematical principles to understand physical systems. The curriculum also offers Engineering and Mechatronics specializations for those drawn to applied sciences. Research from the Hamilton Project indicates that quantitative-focused degrees often lead to graduates achieving top lifetime earnings, with physics alumni matching compensation levels in computer science, engineering, economics, and finance.
