The Bachelor of Media Arts equips students to meet evolving digital media industry needs by developing technically proficient, innovative, and team-oriented artists who understand the historical context and ethical considerations of the field. The program fosters professional communication abilities, creative solution-finding, and effective project oversight. Specialized concentrations enable students to focus on their professional aspirations and artistic interests.
Those enrolled in the degree program should consult with the Fine Arts, Design, and Media Academic Advisor. Course selections aligned with intended concentrations should begin in the first year, with a formal concentration declaration required after finishing 15 credits of foundational courses and before reaching 60 degree credits. The Academic Advisor and/or School of Creative Arts Director may approve exceptions in unique cases. The curriculum combines hands-on film production training with global cinematic studies, providing students with professional-grade technical abilities, creative competencies, and the capacity to contextualize their work within historical and theoretical frameworks.
