This program offers students a solid foundation for various career paths involving international engagement, including overseas business ventures, missionary work in developing nations, education, media, public relations, language services, global development initiatives, tourism, foreign service, public administration, and cross-border trade. It also serves as excellent preparation for graduate-level academic research. Presently, the International and Development Studies concentration emphasizes Latin American studies. Students are encouraged to complete approximately three weekly hours of volunteer work during one semester of their second year. Opportunities span multiple areas such as community outreach programs, NGO participation, or faith-based organizations addressing global concerns. Through this practical experience, participants gain firsthand exposure to international professional environments while integrating classroom learning with workplace realities.
